For us, it goes without saying that fresh ingredients make for naturally good pickles. That's why our herring goes almost directly from the sea to the jar, with a small stopover in our own team. You can feel the difference, both in taste and texture.

Prinsens Sill & Sallader was founded in 1950 on Prinsgatan in Gothenburg, hence the name. Prinsens Sill & Sallader produces herring, salads and sauces in a premium segment. Our fresh ingredients make the products unique. The herring comes fresh to our factory and our seafood has not been frozen, which means that you feel the difference both in taste and in chewing resistance. Freshness is the common thread throughout the business. Every week we produce new salads and sauces based on orders and keep no stock production except in the herring segment.

The fact that we manage the process from fresh herring to pre-packaged herring cans on the shelf means that we have good control over the entire process and are not dependent on other players. This means that we have total control over getting the right product with the right quality for our customers.

We are currently available in selected grocery stores around Gothenburg and in Skåne and at wholesalers. We are currently FSSC22000 certified and MSC certified.

Our products are available in Sweden and the Nordic countries.

Today, the company has almost 20 employees with a turnover of just over SEK 50 million.
