During Sillen Helg 2018, which is celebrated the first weekend in June, our Brantevik herring took first place in the big herring test. A solid jury consisting of star chefs gave Prince's herring the highest rating.
- "This is fantastic," says Marcus Holmström, CEO of Prinsens Sill och Sallader.

In the test, which was held at the Grand Hotel in Marstrand, seven different brantevik herrings were rated according to appearance, taste, texture and quality. Lars Ahlström, who runs the renowned Fiskekrogen in Gothenburg, was tasked with selecting a jury. It was star chefs Richard Waje (LasseMajas krog), Johan Gustavsson (Johans krog), Alexander Stärnerz (Grand Hotell Marstrand) and Pär Andersson (Marstrands Havshotell) who together would choose this year's winner.

In bowls marked with different numbers, the cooks had to judge the herrings and rate them on a scale of one to five. Prinsens Sill och Sallader received the most high marks, winning the test with 23.5 points.

- Brantevikssillen is one of my personal favorites. The fact that star chefs give us such a high rating makes us really proud of what we manage to achieve together with our talented staff," says Jonas Nilsson, owner and operations manager at Prinsens Sill och Sallader.
